Bramham Park, Wetherby LS23 'The most remarkable example in England of the planning of a park in the French manner of Louis XIV'. Built by the first Lord Bingley in 1698 and home to his family for over 300 years, 'Bramham Park is a grand and unusual house, but its gardens are grander and more unusual.' The house was built in the style of a Florentine villa of the sixteenth century, an idea brought back by Lord Bingley from Italy after his Grand Tour. The same Grand Tour is responsible for the design of the gardens, inspired by those at Versailles. Nowadays Bramham Park is the home of Bramham Horse Trials as well as a popular location regularly used for film and television. Its parkland plays host to corporate event days and the house is a perfect setting for private dinners and drinks parties. 0845 450 4545
